America is in a Political Nightmare.
Democracy is fractured, everything feels unaffordable, and people’s mental health is unraveling. Across the country, people are working harder than ever and still falling behind. The cost of living continues to rise while wages remain stagnant. Establishment Democrats have abandoned young people; they have no real solutions to modern problems, and polarization is tearing the country apart. The American Dream feels like it’s slipping away, but it's not too late for America to change course.
Robert Bennett is a Democrat running for Congress in North Carolina’s 2nd District to meet this challenge head-on and fight for real solutions that work for the Triangle and the nation. His goal is to lead one of the most interactive campaigns in history, one that listens, engages, and acts.
The answers to our political crises exist, and Robert has a clear, detailed vision for the country. He believes America can rebuild faith in its democracy and hopes to inspire others to believe in that vision and help spread the message! Cynicism is not an option. America is in crisis, and the only way to realize a better tomorrow is by working together.

In North Carolina, both registered Democrats and Independent (Unaffiliated) voters can vote in the Democratic Primary. Make sure you’re registered to vote and ready for Election Day!

Robert Bennett is a Democrat, climate and clean energy policy expert, proud NC State grad, social scientist and lifelong advocate for science-based solutions. Rooted in the City of Oaks, he’s running for Congress to bring integrity, innovation, and accountability back to Washington.
Robert isn’t a career politician. He’s a public policy nerd who’s seen firsthand how corporate power rigs the system against working families and our planet. From fighting for clean energy and affordability to mentoring students as a middle school lacrosse coach, Robert’s work has always been about building a future that’s fair, sustainable, and rooted in North Carolina values.
